About Me
It is my honor, to witness the natural unfolding of human potential. Lightheartedness is central to the integration process, and I am naturally available for it. Trusting the process, makes me an ally of my client's creativity, and of the healing aspects of images (visual, somatic, heard, made, revealed, hallucinated, dreamed).
I seek to hear well, see clearly, and seek meaning, beauty, and belonging. I find joy in spaciousness.
For the past 25 years, I have guided, and implemented well-being processes, through image creation: in hospitals, universities, and museums. Play, somatic awareness, mindfulness, and creativity have inspired my academic texts and children's books, published in Spanish, English, and Vietnamese.
As a pioneer in the field of art therapy in Colombia, I co-founded the Colombian Art Therapy Association, and created the expressive therapy program at Universidad de los Andes. When I am not facilitating integration, I run workshops for the care of caretakers, and creative processes for individuals going through changes, life transitions, and emotionally significant moments.
My country of birth and my home is in Colombia, though my ancestors come from the coasts of the Mediterranean. I enjoy traveling and, thus, working on themes of change, acculturation, and adaptation.
Clear roles and agreements are important to me. Here, I facilitate integration after expanded states of consciousness. I do not conduct therapy sessions, nor do I offer the expanded experiences.
*In this area of work, I do not act as a therapist. I do not make medical or psychological diagnoses.
I do not administer, distribute, promote, or prescribe medications, with or without formula, or homeopathic products, phytotherapeutic, recreational substances, nor any other product to treat physical or mental conditions.
