These texts are based on observation, within my active professional practice. I believe in the relationship between art, consciousness and nature. They include: Art Therapy and Museums in the Colombian Context (2020); Claiming the Polarity of Art Therapy (2017); Art Therapy and its Contemplative Nature (2013), etc. They have been published in specialized academic journals ( Art Therapy, The Arts in Psychotherapy, International Journal of Transpersoanl Studies. ). The children's books are about development and emotions: Flow, Flow, Flow (2018), When the Anger Ogre Visits (2015), Vivo en Dos Casas (2013), Yo voy a ir al Colegio (2015), Cuando nos da Gripa (2024), Conociendo a Bebe (2013), Todos Dejamos los Pañales (2013).
Approaching images in the preparation stage:
Psychedelic therapy
The images that emerge during the consumption of classic psychedelics have an affinity with artistic expressions, since they involve the five senses. In this text, the usefulness of exploring personal history, becoming familiar with non-verbal languages, and approaching images, before an experience with psychedelics is discussed. It is proposed that it is convenient to consider images during the therapeutic preparation stage, in order to facilitate the therapeutic integration stage. There are options at every step of the way.

The art of observation and experience
Mindfulness practices aim to develop intentional awareness of the present moment. This paper touches on two of the difficulties that may arise in the course of such practice. On the one hand, the present moment may be overwhelming if there is an over-identification with the content that the practices uncover. On the other hand, the present moment may seem excessively foreign if there is an over-identification with the witnessing of such content. Art can prevent an over-identification on both poles of this equation by acting as a container for content, a source of somatic discharge, and a facilitator for observing relationships with images, art processes, oneself and others. Because art embraces both content and the observation of content, it is ideal for witnessing-experiencing.
The therapeutic potential of a visit to the museum
Museums are safe spaces for the objects they hold and for the persons that visit them, providing environments that can function in therapeutic ways. Within the wide range of objects, there is enough diversity to help guests discover what similarities they have with others, as well as what makes them unique as individuals. Within exhibits, individuals explore themselves through the reactions they have to particular pieces, through the observation of what holds their attention within the environment, and through the awareness and development of their contemplative mind. Museums can introduce transpersonal information, add information to previous transpersonal experiences, and even promote expanded states of awareness. With direction, guests may use museums to learn about themselves, thus optimizing the therapeutic potentials of these institutions.
